Digital hall passes provide transparency into how the hallways are being used during the school day.
This comprehensive understanding of hallway use helps all stakeholders know and understand who is and is not using the hallways responsibly.
The digital pass system within myHomework does not track student location. Instead, it relies on students and teachers in the building to record who is using the hallways. It is like having access to all the old paper passes, bathroom blocks, sign out sheets etc... centralized and available to make better decisions when the next student asks to go to the restroom.
Parents can have confidence that in any interaction with staff regarding the hallways, the evidence will speak for itself. Parental logins to myHomework make it easy for parents to check in on and view whether or not their child has been using the hallways during the school day.
Since phones in the hallways can add to behavior problems, we strongly encourage our buildings to keep student phones out of the hallways and our services work very well in this type of a setting.
We have nearly 15 years of experience providing world class education software to students and schools all over the world.
myHomework is also proudly made in the USA.
Whenever a student needs to go out into the hallway during class, they request a hall pass. The system does a load of checks and balances to determine whether or not the teacher needs to know about any specific issues that may occur if the student is let out. Once the digital pass is created, the student can go out into the hallway. Depending on the type of pass, the student either checks in with a faculty member or ends their pass when the trip to the hallway is complete.
Parents can then access the student's calendar which includes any of these trips to the hallway.
There is more information about the service and an option to contact sales at our digital hall passes for schools informational site.
